Gina Schreck, will take us through all the geek speak from Twitter to Second Life. As the co-founder of three successful businesses, one being Synapse3Di, Gina is considered a serial entrepreneur and chic-techno geek! She is a successful author and speaker. Whether helping people connect using technology, present with more charisma and confidence or simply practice safe-stress, Gina blends humor, stories and content! She will help you understand why it is important to adapt a social media strategy and what competitive advantages you will have as a result.
We will also bring in Gary Schirmacher, CMP, Senior Vice-President, Strategic Account Services, Experient. Gary has 23 years of experience in the hotel and meeting planning industry. Gary joined the Denver Experient office in 1996, as the Director for the Western Region. Gary was awarded the company’s highest award, the Pinnacle Award, in 2005. Gary is a member of PCMA, MPI and CSAE. He is a Past-President of the Rocky Mountain Chapter of PCMA and is currently serving a three-year term on the PCMA Educational Foundation Board of Directors. He was the Chairman for the Meetings Industry Council of Colorado from 2002-2007. Gary will address the latest negotiation strategies for securing contracts in our current economic environment and what steps you need to take to protect your company or client and how those steps will provide additional value to them.
Monica Cheeks, LES, CMP, Director of Sales, Hyatt Regency Denver. As Director of Catering and Convention Services for the Hyatt Regency Denver at Colorado Convention Center, Monica is responsible for managing more than $17 million in food, beverage and miscellaneous hotel revenue annually. She oversees a team of twenty, responsible for all aspects of selling and servicing local catering events and meeting planning through design and execution of successful parties, events and conventions. An active member in the National Association of Catering Executives, she currently holds the position of Chapter President for the newly formed Denver chapter. Monica position as NACE Denver Chapter president provides unique insight to the food and beverage trends and what it means to be green in our current environment.
