Why did you want to be become a volunteer for MPIRMC?
I think working with other members gives you the opportunity to get to know them on a different level.

How did you become a Volunteer?
I asked the committee chair if I could be of assistance.

What were you hoping to get out of volunteering within MPIRMC? What have you gotten out of your volunteer role thus far?
I was hoping for a sense of fulfillment and giving back to an amazing organization. I’m happy to have achieved both of these and looking forward to more volunteer opportunities.

What is your best MPIRMC volunteer experience?
Enjoying seeing all of the members and their guests enjoying a day away from work on the golf course.

What advice can you give a member that might be apprehensive to commit to a volunteer role within our organization?
I think there are all levels of volunteering. There are so many options – start small!

What’s the most valuable skill you have learned through volunteering for MPIRMC?
A renewed commitment to the organization and honing my networking skills.

How many volunteer positions have you had through MPI? Which position did you enjoy the most and why?
Just a few, I really enjoyed my time in Minnesota working on the membership committee. This position gave me the opportunity to get to know new members and make them feel welcome!

What keeps you motivated to volunteer?
With every event, I get to meet new people in the Colorado Meetings Industry – both suppliers and planners 🙂
